The name Elnera was built from three things: the act of Elevating care, a new Era in how care gets delivered, and Nebraska, where the company was founded. Every part of the name was chosen with purpose.
Elnera Health was co-founded on a conviction that came from watching healthcare up close. Virtual care was reshaping what was possible in care delivery, but most health systems were trying to add it without redesigning the model underneath it. Melissa Marvin saw both the problem and the opportunity. The people who had helped shape virtual care, who had built it, implemented it, and learned what it actually took to make it work inside a health system, were out there. What did not exist was an organization that brought that depth of experience together and applied it as a complete service, tailored to where each hospital actually was. So she went and found them. Melissa assembled a leadership team of experienced healthcare operators, clinical leaders, and care delivery specialists, people who had been inside the programs, not just advising from the outside. Together they built a care delivery redesign company around a simple principle: health systems are all at different points in this journey, and the right model meets them where they are.
